History of Ashram

Prasanthi Nilayam means the “home of peace”. The ashram complex also has beautiful temples, kalpavriksha (a tree that fulfills wishes). Under the shadow of tree baba communicate with his devotees without any intermediary. The ashram also houses a canteen, a public relation desk and a post office. The huge complex of temple can easily accommodate thousands of people. The most prominent feature of this huge commune is the assembly hall where Sai Baba gives Darshan to his followers. The eye-catching edifice of the tranquil ashram magnetizes many people on the eve of Sai Baba’s birthday.
Temples and shrines in Ashram
There are several shrines and temples in Prasanthi Nilayam, as well as the Darshan hall and the Mandir. About Sathya Sai Central Trust
Sri Sathya Sai Baba is a charitable trust that is founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba in year 1972. The activities of the trust are divided into four sections- helping poor, health care, education. The trust has been performing a number of welfare activities like medical facility to poor people, free secondary level education, and supply of drinking water, construction of museums, convention centres and community halls etc.
