Day 1 – Delhi Arrival
Day 2 – Gaya – Bodhgaya Sightseeing
Post breakfast onboard. Proceed from Gaya to Bodhgaya and our representative will assist you to check into the hotel. Relax for a while and after lunch at hotel, proceed for sightseeing. Bodhgaya is the most sacred spiritual center for Buddhists and a prominent destination for tourists visiting Gaya. The Bodh tree present here is believed to be the direct descendant of the original Bodh Tree under which Gautama Buddha got enlightenment, in 598 B.C. Visit the other sacred locations of Bodhgaya before returning to hotel for dinner.Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 3 – Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Gaya
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Rajgir for sightseeing. Rajgir has many historic references and believed to exist even before 1000 B.C. The great Indian Epic mentions about Rajgir and records about Magada and Mourya Empires have information about Rajgir. The world renowned Nalanda University is in the vicinity of Rajgir.
Lord Gautama Buddha chose Rajgir for his preachings during 5th& 6th century. Visiting Rajgir can give you an insight of how Buddhism got its roots very deep in this region. From Rajgir, proceed to Nalanda for sightseeing.Return to Gaya Railway Station to board the train which proceeds to Varanasi. Have your dinner onboard.

Day 4 – Varanasi – Lumbini
After your breakfast onboard, reach Varanasi. From there, proceed to Sarnath, just at a distance of 10kms from Varanasi situated at the confluence of Ganges and Varuna Rivers. Sarnath has a historical significance in Buddhism that Lord Gautama Buddha delivered his first sermon in the deer park there. The stupa and the pillars at Sarnath speak about the revolutionary period when Buddhism started to emerge and spread vigorously.
Check into the hotel at Sarnath for wash and change. Have your lunch and proceed for Sarnath sightseeing. Relaxing a while after returning to hotel, proceed for a boat ride in River Ganges and witness the Evening Ganga Arti, a daily ritual worshipping River Ganges with Lights. After dinner at hotel, return to train and resume your journey to Lumbini (Nautanwa).

Day 5 - Lumbini Sightseeing
After reaching Nautanwa, have your breakfast onboard. Start to Lumbini and one of our representatives will assist you to check into the hotel. Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, where Queen Mahamayadevi gave birth to him in 563 BCE. Lumbini in Nepal is home to many temples, monuments, monasteries and museum constructed by different Buddhist organizations from across several countries. Lumbini is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit Mayadevi Temple. Return to hotel for dinner.Overnight stay in Lumbini
Day 6 – Lumbini – Kushinagar- Balrampur
Post breakfast at hotel, board the train proceeding to Kushinagar. Relax for a while after reaching Kushinagar. Post lunch onboard, proceed for Kushinagar sightseeing.
Kushinagar is the most important international pilgrimage center. Buddhists all around the globe believe that Kushinagar is the place where Lord Gautama Buddha attained Parinirvana after his death. Buddhists make it a point that they visit Kushinagar at least once in their life time. Visit the historically prominent locations in Kushinagar before returning to Train for dinner.
Overnight journey to Balrampur(Sravasti)
Day 7 – Balrampur – Agra
After reaching Balrampur, proceed to Sravasti and check into the hotel. After wash & change and breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing in Sravsti. Sravasti holds a very strong place in Buddhism and had been very close to the life of Gautama Buddha.
Lord Gautama Buddha had spent 24 Chaturmases (period of four holy months) here in Sravasti. The Buddhist Viharas and monasteries in this holy town on the banks of the Rapti River portrays its close association of Lord Buddha.
After sightseeing, have your lunch at hotel and return to train. Resume your journey to Agra.Overnight journey to Agra.
Day 8 – Agra – Delhi
Have your breakfast onboard. Arrive at Agra and proceed for sightseeing of Taj Mahal. Enjoy the glazing beauty of the mausoleum in white marble, built by the Mughal King Shajahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz. The icon of India and a monument built for the eternal love on the banks of River Yamuna mesmerizes every visitor.
Return to Train for lunch. Resume your journey to Delhi.The tour ends at Safdarjung Railway station with the beautiful memories of Buddhist Circuit Tour !
