Day 1 – Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, our Tour Executive will welcome you and do the needful. The reporting time at Saftarjang Railway station is 4.30pm. After a traditional welcome and an optional photo shoot, you will be escorted to your salons with the Palace on Wheels' staff. a complimentary drink will be offered at the bar lounge. You can relax when the wonderland journey starts at 6.30pm and the dinner is served onboard.

Day 2 – Pink City Jaipur

On arrival, you will have a regal welcome by the elephants. Pink city museum, St. Albert palace and the UNESCO world heritage site Jantar Mantar are some of the prominent destinations to be visited in Jaipur. A short photo stop at Hawa Mahal and a ride on the decorated elephants on the steep ramparts follows. Enjoy the lunch arranged at the 1135 AD Boutique Restaurant in the Fort premises.

Post lunch session will be a visit to the 18th Century Fort Palace, a testimony for the wonderful fusion of Mughal and Rajput architectures. After a joyful shopping experience, you can return to train by 6.00pm. Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 3 – Morning – Ranthambore

Start at 6.30am from Sawai Madhopur railway station in 15 seater canters and enjoy the safari into the Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary. This sanctuary is very famous as home to tigers, sloth bears, hundreds of deers and beautiful birds. After returning to train, breakfast and lunch will be served onboard.

Day 3 – Afternoon – Chittorgarh Hill Fort

Around 4.00 pm, the train reaches Chittorgarh railway station. You will be taken on an excursion to the 17th century Chittorgarh fort built on a large plateau. This fort is considered to be the largest fort in India. The sound and light shows in the Fort premises can be enjoyed in the evening before returning to the train. Dinner is served onboard and the train departs at midnight.

Day 4 – City of Lakes, Udaipur

Train arrives at 7.00am. Post breakfast onboard, proceed to visit the 11th century palace complex. It is comprised of eleven palaces with huge courtyards, balconies and cupolas. The Crystal Gallery and a boat ride to the world renowned Lake Palace Hotel are the other significant places you will visit. Lunch will be arranged at Fateh Prakash Hotel. After a hassle free shopping at Royal Gardens, return to train by 3pm and depart. Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 5 – An Oasis on Desert, Jaisalmer

After breakfast served onboard, proceed to visit the UNESCO world heritage site Jaisalmer Fort. The 15th century marvel glows in the afternoon sun with large facades and huge courtyards. You can also visit the 15th century Jain Temples and a library housing India’s some of the oldest manuscripts and Patwan Ki Haweli, an another five storied huge architecture, an elaborate mansion house. Your lunch will be arranged in a 5-star hotel and you will return to train for a brief nap. Again at 4.30pm, you will proceed to visit the Sam sand dunes in the Thar desert. Enjoy the camel rides and photo shoots followed by the cultural programs. The day ends with the dinner in a 5-star hotel after which you will return to train and depart.

Day 6 – Heart of Marwar, Jodhpur

The train will reach Jodhpur at 8.30am. Post breakfast onboard, proceed to visit the 16th century Mehrangarh Fort. When you walk past the huge facades, you will be taken aback by the stunningly beautiful Mahals, the then residences of the Royal. Besides these Palatial buildings, you will also visit the Museum, cluster of Royal Cenotaphs and the huge collections of the Royal artifacts and medieval weapons in the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Lunch will be arranged at Hanwant Mahal Boutique Restaurant. Post lunch, return to train and the journey resumes.

Day 7 – Bird Sanctuary, Bharathpur

Start at 6.30am for a joyful cycle rickshaw ride inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bharathpur Bird Sanctuary. This sanctuary houses more than 375 species of birds from countries like Srilanka, Tibet, China, Europe and Siberia. Return to train for breakfast and the train will depart by 8.45am

Day 7 – Afternoon – City of Taj Mahal – Agra

Reach the outskirts of Agra by 10.30am, proceed to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Agra Fort. After visiting the Fort, you will proceed to ITC Mughal Hotel for lunch. Post lunch is the highlight of your journey, visiting one of the seven wonders of the world, Taj Mahal. Enjoy the stunning beauty of the architectural wonder made of white marble. After a brief shopping, you can return to train, dinner will be served onboard and your journey resumes.

Day 8 – Delhi

The train will reach Saftarjang Railway station at 5.30am. Post breakfast, you will depart for your return journey.
