Begin your tour with a day around the nation’s capital on a sightseeing tour taking in many of the highlights of Old and New Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.

Morning walking or cycle-rickshaw tour in Old Delhi, before driving 4 hours or so to Agra. Begin your time in Agra with sightseeing covering Agra Fort and the ‘baby Taj’. Overnight in Agra.

Avoid the worst of the crowds at the Taj by beginning the day on a countryside bicycle (or electric rickshaw tour) close to the Taj but far, far from the crowds which gather there in the early morning. Drive the short distance down the river to Haridwar, an important pilgrimage town, in its own way just as significant a place as Varanasi in the spiritual life of Hindu people from this part of India. Tour the sights of Haridwar in the afternoon, and at dusk head to the ghats along the river’s edge to watch the nightly Aarti ceremony. Overnight in Haridwar.

Day around Haridwar with mid-afternoon transfer back to Dehra Dun for a flight to Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.
