The land on which the temple is built was given to Birla by the Maharaja for just a token of one rupee. The most stunning part of the temple is the idol of Lakshmi Narayan which was carved out of a single stone. The innards of the temple are filled with mythological paintings of the various Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The temple is also house to a museum which showcases the hereditary belongings of the Birla family. The temple is covered by lush green trees that add to the calm and serene atmosphere of the temple
